Hi! My name is Kate Laub, and I am based in Denver, Colorado. Born and raised in the Midwest, I relocated here nearly 40 years ago drawn by my love of nature, the mountains, and Colorado's abundant sunshine.
I have been practicing yoga for more than 27 years and teaching for the last 14. As I began my training, I noticed that many people believed they "couldn't do yoga" due to age, physical limitations, injuries or medical conditions. I realized these were often the very people who could benefit most from an attainable and consistent practice. That realization became my purpose: making yoga and meditation accessible, inclusive and welcoming to everyone.
Over the years I have taught in various settings, including private yoga studios, recreation centers, programs for the City and County of Denver, and assisted living communities. When the pandemic forced everyone indoors, I transitioned my classes online. What began as a necessity soon became a favorite format for many of my students who appreciated the comfort and convenience of practicing from home. Today, I continue to teach three live virtual classes each week.
In addition to being a yoga teacher, I am a proud mom of 3 grown children and a grandma to 2 grandchildren (who are currently working on their "downward dogs"). I enjoy exploring holistic nutrition, swimming, music, hiking, connecting with my students, and spending time with family and friends.
I would be honored to help empower your journey as you discover you "CAN do yoga," and experience the positive impact of the practice on your overall well-being.
